In the heart of the BS2 community, a brewing legacy is forged. Each month, our members gather to share their most prized creations. But only one can be crowned the champion... These are their stories...
*DUN DUN*
Pat does it again! This time Pat brought a Coconut Coffee Pale Ale and nocked it out of the park by taking 40% of the votes.
Nikki with her kombucha does it again! This time with Jalapeno. (forgot to grab a picture, so her November one will have to work)
Well I failed to get a good picture Larry, our monthly winner with his delicious Belgian Quad. He is hiding in the background here though, and Grants portable keg might deserve an honorable mention too!
We had a 2 way tie for this month’s Homebrewer Choice winners:
• Nikki with her Ginger Kombucha
• Joe with his Toffee Stout
Plus, an intense cider showdown between Matt and Greg! See y’all at the Christmas party on December 14th!
Pat Shay claimed October's (home) Brewer Of The Month with his Jalapeño Pilsner. He snuck out before I could get him the pound of Columbous hops donated by Russ Olson/Steins and Vines, but tracked him down slinging pints at Buffalo Ridge. Congrats Pat! You're becoming a frequent contender.
In case you didn’t know, Bob Ross (a.k.a Matt Hansen) won the 2024 Witches and Warlocks Wine Walk with beer tasting event!
His Strawberry Milkshake IPA was so smooth it painted happy clouds in our head!
Thank you to Downtown Hartford Inc for hosting. This event is an annual fundraiser to help with improvements to the downtown Hartford SD area.
BREWERY CHOICE: Steve Powell /Smoked Classic Style - Festbier
BREWERS CHOICE: Larry Person /Marzen
PEOPLES CHOICE: Bud Molyneux /Blueberry Dark Sour
Lance made his BS2 third-Brewsday debut with a Pale Stout and stole the show! Alright, maybe not 'stole the show' as we almost had another 3 way tie, but Russ came in with the final vote to put Lance's Pale Stout on top. For his efforts Lance took home a pound of ZA African hops donated by Remedy.
We definitely had plenty of great beers this month, resulting in a 3-way tie.
Ken- Mango Pineapple
Shawn & Roger Tienter - Cherry Mead
Pat - Imperial Pastry Stout
Ken and Shawn & Roger each got a pound of Columbus hops donated by Steins and Vines. *Pat said he's ok because he already won March with the same beer. We'll still drink it every time Pat!*
Peoples choice - Todd Chambers/Amber Lager
Brewers choice - Aaron Van Den Berg/Coffee Cream Ale
Brewery choice - Aaron Van Den Berg/Coffee Cream Ale
Brews-day moved to Saturday at Steve's place. No vote taken, but Steve's insane setup with a full commercial grade cooler may deserve a win here.
Jay Lucas - Orange Creamsickle
A TIE?!?! THIS SHOULDN'T BE ALLOWED!
Adam - Imperial Chocolate Stout
Pat - Imperial Pastry Stout
Adam and Pat split the reward: a few packs of hops donated by Obscure Brewing.
